So how did we make it? Follow the below steps and see the result:

1. Equipments that You Need:

• Portable Pickleball Nets: You must have a portable pickleball net that has adjustable height and sturdy base anchors option. The portability will give you access to carry it at any palace. Opt for 34 inches net because this is what you need to play pickleball.

• Marking Tape: The lines of the basketball court are not even close to the pickleball court. And you just can’t erase those lines for your game. So what you have to do

is buy a marking tape and draw the lines over the basketball court. Go for the bright color always. 

• Measuring Tape: To make an accurate layout, bring a long tape. 50 feet of measuring tape would be perfect for this setting up process.

• Line Marking Tool (Optional): If you want perfect lines, you can use chalk line markers to create crisp and accurate lines. It works well on the asphalt courts though.

2. Step-by-step Guide:

1. Court Dimensions:

• For Singles Play: If you are playing singles, mark two baselines 20 feet apart parallel to the existing sidelines of the basketball court. Then, just divide each baseline in half for the net posts.

• For Doubles Play: You have to follow the same steps as the singles play court except for one change. What’s that? Just extend each baseline by 7 feet on the two sides. It will give you a wide space for playing two players side by side.

2. Net Setup:

• Position the portable 34-inch net at the middle of each baseline at the lowest point by attaching it securely with straps or clips.

3. Mark the Lines:

• Singles: Use the marking tape or line-making tool and draw 7 feet away from each baseline to create the “Non-volley zones.” After that, on both side, mark the service lines 7 feet inside the baselines.

• Doubles: Do all things as the singles but extend the non-volley zone and service lines according to the wider doubles court dimensions.

Therefore, now you know what you have to do. With just a little planning and labor, you can transform the basketball court into a pickleball court.
